The centerpiece of the Prime Minister's agenda is good government. His priorities include promoting the unity of the Empire and the health of its democracy while making the government more effective. Here is how he intends to to so.
Unity of the Empire
Although Austenasia is very diverse, it is one nation, and for the Empire to remain politically one, there must be, to some degree, a unified national identity. The Prime Minister intends to help build this identity not through combating local culture or centralising power, but through helping cultivate a national culture that can unify all Austenasians.
To this end, the Prime Minister intends to oversee the creation of a Ministry for Culture. This ministry would plan the observance of Empire-wide holidays, care for monuments, appoint artists and poets laureate to enshrine the finest of native Austenasian creativity, and organise events and venues for the sharing of literature and the arts among the population. Through this channel for independent creation and viewing of native expression, Austenasian culture can undergo a renaissance.

Democracy
The Prime Minister seeks to preserve Austenasian democracy so that the Imperial Government may work for all the people by keeping governance close to them. During his campaign, he promised to preserve the power of Town Councils to manage local issues. He has vowed to abide by the will of Parliament even as he seeks to lead it toward the fulfillment of his agenda.
One of the Prime Minister's most significant goals in this area was fulfilled during his first month in office. Just as was proposed during the March 2015 election, all members of the Cabinet are now appointed on the advice to the Prime Minister, making the executive more accountable to the people.
